Alumni Spotlight Series with TV Producer Joanna Klein

Prof. Dehanza Rogers engaged in an entertaining and informative Q&A with alum Joanna Klein, as part of the Department's new Alumni Spotlight Speaker series. Klein is a 1993 graduate of Emory's Goizueta Business School and is currently under an overall producing deal at CBSTV with her partner Jennie Snyder Urman. Prior to that she served as Senior Vice President, Scripted Development at Lifetime Network where she was responsible for development and production of all scripted series including the pop-culture hits series Unreal and romantic thriller You.

Prior to lifetime, Klein was SVP scripted series at the CW Network; VP Scripted at Regency TV, MVP Scripted Series at Lionsgate where she developed award-winning and pop culture hits such as Riverdale, Weeds, Gossip Girl, Vvampire Diaries, The Flash, Arrow, Jane the Virgin, Crazy Ex-girlfriend and more. Over the course of her career she has developed over 500 pilot scripts and worked on over 50 shot pilots and series.
