Clusters

Students may choose to concentrate on a particular facet of media production by pursuing one of the defined clusters below. This is not required but merely one way of approaching the minor.

  • FILM 101: Introduction to Film (fall and spring semesters, 3 sections ea.)
  • FILM 102: Introduction to TV and Digital Media (fall and spring semesters, 1 section ea.)
  • FILM 107: Intro to Digital Video (fall and spring semesters, 2 sections ea.)
  • FILM 207: Narrative I (fall and/or spring semesters)
  • FILM 278: Writing the Short Film (fall and spring semesters)
  • FILM 307: Narrative II (fall semester)

Choose 1 course from the following:

  • FILM 212: Film Producing (fall or spring semesters)
  • FILM 213: Cinematography (fall semester)
  • FILM 214: Viewing Black Girlhood (fall or spring semesters)
  • FILM 378: Screenwriting (fall and spring semesters) FILM 479: Filmmaking Capstone (offered infrequently)
